An Effective Resume

My newest hero is Seth Godin! This master marketer is right on with his most recent blog. Here's what he had to say:

Here's the best way to improve your business plan or your resume:
Have someone else write it...
...Writing about yourself is infinitely harder than writing about someone else--and you're going to discover that the story you thought you were telling probably isn't the story that's coming across.

He is so right. Aside from the difficulty with objectivity, writing a resume isn't a simple recounting of past history. A resume's effectiveness rests with the strategy behind the layout, the focus, the choice of verbs, the info that is selected and the info that is removed -- a great deal of skill goes into writing a great resume.

How's your resume working for you? If you're ready to trust your career to a career professional, I would love to work for you and capture your workplace value with skilfull strategy.
