The older I get the more I have to agree with the saying "If you think you can't, you won't; if you think you can, you will."
Let's extrapolate this to the job search. Whining the mantra "there are no jobs out there" will make it so! And asserting "I will find a job within three months" will force you to take action.
Whining, complaining, lamenting is counterproductive. It won't change a thing, and it creates negative intentions, saps energy. It is an unproductive attitude.
Switching your thought pattern to the "yes I can" model will undoubtedly create more energy than the "not possible" thought pattern.
