Networking for Work

I'm very active on LinkedIn, answering questions related to composing an influential resume, interviewing with success, tactics for a quick job search and more. And one of the unexpected and lovely fallouts has been that out of the blue people who have written new books offer me a free copy! Now, if you know me, you know I love books, love to read and am committed to learning, growing, improving - I am a lifelong student.

The most recent book I received is The 11 Laws of Likability by Michelle Tillis Lederman (published by AMACOM, American Management Association). I think that its title doesn't do it justice! The content is grass roots personal development, rich with actual examples, a dedicated emphasis on staying real, true to you, and cultivating the best you. And, it's written from a business perspective, so it is perfect for job hunters and career builders.

I've only tackled the first chapter thus far, and have already learned a new approach on how to deal with someone who rubs you the wrong way. It is an honest and wholehearted approach that values each human being. I highly recommend this book and you're sure to read more updates on its content in future blogs!
