Every month I attend a networking group. It goes by the slightly wacky acronym of WOWSA (Women of Wellington Saugeen Area), and it alternates its meetings between facilities in two tiny towns.
Last month's meeting marked the summer hiatus, and I didn't want to miss it. As a newbie in the area, I need to connect, make friends, and feel like I belong somewhere! I am beyond grateful that I went.
Not only was I introduced to a fabulous new publication, Avalon Magazine, but that connection led to an incredible opportunity: to have my business ad in a glossy North America-wide magazine. I am in love with the content, style, and overall atmosphere and attitude of this publication, and head over heels in love with its photos, artwork, and focus. It speaks to the better nature of human-kind, it evokes a gentler time, and it spurs ingenuity, creativity and altruism.
My business advertisement will be in the next issue, which is out at the end of June. Available in Chapters and other major stores, I urge you to source a copy, devour its content, and share what you think.
I extend a most sincere and heartfelt "thank you" to Lorie Black, the Art Director, and her sister Linda Black, Editor-in-Chief, for conceiving of this beautiful, awe-inspiring endeavour, and also for finding a spot for New Leaf Resumes in its soon-to-be-released issue. Namaste, Stephanie
